LED Christmas Lights

LED Christmas lights are among the many uses of LEDs that are gaining popularity.  Everyone has experienced the frustration of normal Christmas lights; they break, they burn out, and if one in the string fails the rest will not be able to turn on either.  LED Christmas lights eliminate many of these problems.

Advantages of LED Christmas Lights

As discussed in What are LED Lights, LEDs emit a brighter light than normal incandescent bulbs while using less electricity.  Unlike normal bulbs in Christmas lights, these do not use a filament so last much longer than their conventional counterparts.  Early LED Christmas lights were fairly limited; often they could only be used inside and required a battery to operate.  Technology has progressed to the point that new LED Christmas lights can be used in the same way as run-of-the-mill lights, only better!
